Artist Research

Description: For my artist research I picked Chuck Close. I chose Chuck Close because I recognize his work but knew very little about him as an artist and as a person. After doing some research on him I got a better understanding as to why he creates his paintings using circles and the meaning behind why he paints faces.

Rationale: I researched an artist's life and his artwork to get a better understanding of him as a person and as an artist. I created a handout for students to understand and read so they could get inspiration from him or use him as a reference in their own work.

2I)  evaluates teaching resources and materials for appropriateness as related to curricular content and each student’s needs;
