Studio Assignment
Description: Created a gestural drawing that portrays an expression and drew the form to appear in movement, making it more illustrated and life like.
Rationale: By creating this studio project, it would be a good example to use of a gestural drawing that would then lead into wire sculpture. Having students think of basic movements or physical expressions and gestures that people use will help students start to break them down into simple quick gestural drawings.

Unit Plan
Description: Designed a wire sculpture Unit Plan where the students would start off with creating gestural drawings to start thinking about proportions and expression through movements. Then transitioning into wire forms and showing examples of wire sculpture artist and their artworks. Students would then create their own wire sculpture figure that is portraying an expression or an action.
Rationale: Students will learn how to draw figures that show an expression or an action by gestural drawing forms of people. Students will learn how to work with wire to create expressive figures.

Description: The formative assessment is an in-progress reflection. The questions have the students critically think about their progress in their project so far. The students come to the conclusion if they need any assistance or guidance from the teacher moving forward. The summative assessment had
Rationale:
Having the students reflect on their artwork helps them see their personal and skill growth and helps them figure out where they may still need to improve. Peer critique will help the students learn from other's feed back on what's working with their project and what needs to be adjusted.

Artist Handout
Description: I researched an artist's life and his artwork to get a better understanding of him as a person and as an artist. I created a handout for students to understand and read so they could get inspiration from him or use him as a reference in their own work.
Rationale: Students will be able to use the handout as a reference for ideas and information.

2. Observed an Interview for an Art Education Professor Position at ISU Student Galleries.
Description: 1
Went to the exhibition of "The Secrets of the Mona Lisa" to gain more knowledge about this worldly recognizable painting. The exhibition broke down Leonardo's process of the painting and it's history and how it almost got destroyed many times throughout history. It was extremely enlightening and I'm glad I went.

Listened to the candidate speak and took notes on why I thought she was a good candidate for our school. Turned in my feedback notes to the office.

Description: 1
Dave Hupke is a local photographer/ mix-media artist from Pekin. I assisted the set of the gallery which contained photographs, with occasional mixed-media, of his cross country trip on a scooter with a hand crafted canoe on small trailer attached to it.

Assisted setting up a gallery at Peoria Public Main Library with local artist Dave Hupke to showcase artwork with in the community.
